Opportunity's microscopic imager captured a picture of a long, thin feature that the science team had not seen in any of the other images sent from Mars. Technical details: The microscopic imager has a field of view of 3 x 3 centimeters and it can resolve a grain of sand or objects that are at least 60 micrometers across.
